L.B. Results @ Titan Toughman Tournament

In a thrilling display of skill and determination, the Lord Botetourt wrestlers showcased their prowess at the annual Titan Toughman Tournament hosted at Hidden Valley High School last week. The team's remarkable performance earned them a well-deserved second place in the overall standings.

Individual excellence took center stage as T.J. Piluso, competing in the 165 lbs. category, emerged as the champion by defeating Lance Duncan of Radford in a gripping final. Additionally, Gray Arnold at 150 lbs. and Aaden Thomas at 190 lbs. fought valiantly, securing their places in the finals but settling for second.

The intense competition featured 22 formidable teams, with Patrick Henry ultimately claiming the tournament victory with an impressive 252 points. Lord Botetourt secured their strong second-place finish, followed by Cave Spring in third with 199 points, William Byrd in fourth with 180.5 points, and Salem in fifth with 174.5 points.

Reflecting on the team's performance, Coach Paul Craft expressed satisfaction, stating, "As a team, I thought we wrestled well. A few of our younger guys had their first experience cutting a few pounds and making weight two days in a row."

The Lord Botetourt Wrestling Team's dedication and resilience continue to make waves in the wrestling community, and the future looks promising as they build on this impressive showing. Congratulations to the individual champions and the entire team for their outstanding efforts in the Titan Toughman Tournament!
