Lord Botetourt Wrestlers Showcase Resilience and Determination in Recent Matches Last Saturday, the Lord Botetourt wrestling team demonstrated a commendable performance at the meet held at Wilson Memorial. Although they faced a challenging defeat against the defending 2A state champions, Strasburg (52-24), the team showcased their prowess with notable victories over 3A teams, Wilson Memorial (54-30) and Western Albemarle (48-20). Despite the loss against Strasburg, the team's resilience shone through in their triumphs over Wilson Memorial and Western Albemarle. Head coach Paul Craft emphasized the significance of these matches, stating they provided a valuable opportunity for the team to face an tough

opponent in the state and gain insights into potential 3A competitors they might encounter in February. Coach Craft praised the team's effort, urging them to give a 100% commitment and focus on the score during the matches. One remarkable observation made by the coaching staff was the team's superior conditioning compared to their opponents.
